“Plus Cross” is a crossword-style, logic puzzle game involving a little math.
The aim of this puzzle is to fill all the blank squares in the same row/column with numbers (from 1 to 9) so that it adds up to the number shown at the end.
When doing this, you cannot use the same number more than once.
The first few times you challenge this puzzle, you might feel your math ability being pushed to the limit.
But don’t worry. The rule where “you cannot use the same number more than once” means that there are only a limited number of possible combinations for the value shown at the end of the row/column.
Once you find out those combinations, you’ll be able to fill in those empty squares quickly without the need for any calculations.

The more puzzles you solve, the more combinations you will remember. You’ll really be able to feel yourself improving!

So what are you waiting for? Start enjoying Plus Cross now!

For First Timers
We recommend that you use the Number Combination List when challenging puzzles for the first time.

Rule 1: The number in the triangle is the total for that row/column
Rule 2: The same number cannot be used in the same row/column

The secret to solving this puzzle is all in the combination!

Remember the rule “you cannot use the same number more than once”? This means that the combination of possible numbers becomes limited depending on number of empty squares in that row/column.
In other words, you’ll be able to start filling in the squares without the need for any calculations, by using your knowledge of possible combinations for the squares on the same row/column.
Of course, you should always start with the rows/columns that have the least number of empty squares as this means that there are fewer possible combinations.

Ex. Where the total is 3 and there are two empty squares = the combination can only be [1] [2] or [2] [1]. Only the numbers 1 to 9 can be used, so the maximum total for a row/column with nine empty squares will be 45.

The attached Number Combination List will likely help you journey through the puzzles.
